RIDGEWOOD FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION, INC.

DIRECTIONS TO LINE-UP AREAS

These directions do not show the most direct route they are carefully planned to avoid unnecessary traffic in and around the Line-up Areas. If you are “local”, please check to find the point where you can join in and follow along to the correct Line-up Area.

Madison division

From Rt. 17 and points East and North:

• Take Linwood Avenue “RIDGEWOOD” Exit

• At second light, turn right onto N. Pleasant Avenue

• Stay on N. Pleasant until road ends, about two blocks

• Turn left onto E. Glen Avenue

• You will pass:

One traffic light at N. Maple Avenue

One blinker at Oak Street

• At second blinker, turn left onto Heights Road

• Stay on Heights until road ends about 4 blocks

• Turn left onto Madison Place and drop off personnel

From Rt. 208 and points West and South:

• Take Goffle Road “Midland Park Ridgewood” Exit

• Stay on Goffle Road for about 2 miles

• At second light, turn right onto Godwin Avenue

• Make an immediate left onto Erie Avenue

• Stay on Erie Avenue for about 1 mile (you will pass one blinker)

• Turn right onto W. Glen Avenue (Parkwood Deli is on far corner)

• You will pass one traffic light at N. Monroe Street

• At blinker, turn right onto Heights Road

• Stay on Heights until road ends about 4 blocks

• Turn left onto Madison Place and drop off personnel

To End of Parade from Line-up Area (for Parking and Pick-up):

• Stay on Madison Place until road ends about 2 blocks

• Turn left onto Crest Road (note – after you pass the “view” area, road turns left – be sure to turn right to continue on Crest Road)

• At stop sign turn right onto Heights Road

• At blinker, turn right onto W. Glen Avenue

• You will pass:

One blinker at Oak Street

One traffic light at N. Maple Avenue

• Turn right onto Northern Parkway (first right after traffic light at N. Maple Avenue)

• Stay on Northern Parkway for 1 ½ blocks

• Turn right into parking lot

WASHINGTON division

From Rt. 17 and points East and North:

• Take Linwood Avenue RIDGEWOOD Exit

• At second traffic light, turn right onto N. Pleasant Avenue

• Stay on N. Pleasant until road ends, about two blocks

• Turn left onto E. Glen Avenue

• Stay on Glen Avenue for about a mile (you will pass one traffic light)

• At blinker, turn left onto Oak Street

• Stay on Oak Street for about ½ mile (you will pass one blinker)

• At traffic light, turn right onto Franklin Avenue

• After traffic light follow Franklin Avenue under the railroad tracks

• At traffic light, turn right onto W. Ridgewood Avenue

• Make first left onto Washington Place (Continue below with “At Line-up Area”)

From Rt. 208 and points West and South:

• Take Goffle Road “Midland Park Ridgewood” Exit

• Stay on Goffle Road for about 2 miles

• At second light, turn right onto Godwin Avenue

• Follow Godwin for about a mile or so (you will pass one traffic light)

• At second traffic light, turn left onto W. Ridgewood Avenue

• Make first left onto Washington Place (Continue below with “At Line-up Area”)

At Line-up Area:

• If your vehicle is in the Parade, follow directions from Parade Marshals

• If your vehicle is not in the Parade:

– turn left onto Garfield Place and drop off personnel

– proceed on Garfield Place for one block to Godwin Avenue

To End of Parade from Line-up Area (for Parking and Pick-up):

• Turn right onto Godwin Avenue; stay on Godwin for about ½ mile (you will pass 1 traffic light)

• Turn right onto Erie Avenue (right after Sears Hardware, before traffic light)

• Stay on Erie Avenue for about 1 mile (you will pass one blinker)

• Turn right onto W. Glen Avenue (Parkwood Deli is on far corner)

• You will pass:

One traffic light at N. Monroe Street

Two blinkers, one at Heights Road and one at Oak Street

One traffic light at N. Maple Avenue

• Turn right onto Northern Parkway (first right after traffic light at N. Maple Avenue)

• Stay on Northern Parkway for 1 ½ blocks

• Turn right into parking lot

Hillside & Parking Lot divisionS

From Rt. 17 and points East and North:

• Take Linwood Avenue RIDGEWOOD Exit

• At second light, turn right onto N. Pleasant Avenue

• Stay on N. Pleasant until road ends, about two blocks

• Turn left onto E. Glen Avenue

• You will pass:

One traffic light at N. Maple Avenue

Two blinkers, one at Oak Street and one at Heights Road

One traffic light at N. Monroe Street

• Turn left onto Erie Avenue (Parkwood Deli is on your right)

• At blinker, turn left onto Franklin Avenue

• Proceed on Franklin Avenue which becomes W. Ridgewood Avenue as you pass Ridge School

• Turn right onto S. Hillside Place, the road curves sharply to the left (Continue below with “At Line-up Area”)

From Rt. 208 and points West and South:

• Take Goffle Road “Midland Park Ridgewood” Exit

• Stay on Goffle Road for about 2 miles

• At second light, turn right onto Godwin Avenue

• Make an immediate left onto Erie Avenue

• At blinker, turn right onto Franklin Avenue

• Proceed on Franklin Avenue which becomes W. Ridgewood Avenue as you pass Ridge School

– Drop off personnel; then turn right onto N. Monroe Street

Ridgewood EAST division

• Turn left onto E. Glen Avenue

• Stay on Glen Avenue for about a mile (you will pass one traffic light)

• At blinker, turn left onto Oak Street

• Stay on Oak Street for about ½ mile (you will pass one blinker)

• At traffic light, turn right onto Franklin Avenue

• After traffic light follow Franklin Avenue under the railroad tracks

To End of Parade from Line-up Area (for Parking and Pick-up):

• Proceed on Heights Road for 1 block

• Turn right onto Madison Place

• Turn left onto Crest Road (note – after you pass the “view” area, road turns left – be sure to turn right to continue on Crest Road)

• At stop sign turn right onto Heights Road

• At blinker, turn right onto W. Glen Avenue

• You will pass:

One blinker at Oak Street

One traffic light at N. Maple Avenue

• Turn right onto Northern Parkway (first right after traffic light at N. Maple Avenue)

• Stay on Northern Parkway for 1 ½ blocks

• Turn right into parking lot

Fire Depts. with bands church side OF STREET / other vehicles opposite side of street

From Rt. 17 and points East and North:

• Stay on N. Pleasant until road ends, about two blocks

• Turn left onto E. Glen Avenue

• You will pass:

One traffic light at N. Maple Avenue

One blinker at Oak Street

One traffic light at N. Monroe Street

• Turn left onto Erie Avenue (Parkwood Deli is on your right)

• At blinker, turn left onto Franklin Avenue

• Franklin Ave. becomes W. Ridgewood Avenue after Ridge School (Continue below with “At Line-up Area”)

From Rt. 208 and points West and South:

• At second light, turn right onto Godwin Avenue

At Line-up Area:

• If your vehicle is in the Parade, follow directions from Parade Marshals

– Turn left onto S. Murray Avenue and drop off personnel

To End of Parade from Line-up Area (for Parking and Pick-up):

• Continue on S. Murray Avenue

• Turn right onto Godwin Avenue

• Turn right onto Erie Avenue (right after Sears Hardware, before traffic light)

• Stay on Erie Avenue for about 1 mile (you will pass one blinker)

• Turn right onto W. Glen Avenue (Parkwood Deli is on far corner)

• You will pass:

One traffic light at N. Monroe Street

Two blinkers, one at Heights Road and one at Oak Street

One traffic light at N. Maple Avenue

• Turn right onto Northern Parkway (first right after traffic light at N. Maple Avenue)

• Take Linwood Avenue RIDGEWOOD Exit

• At second traffic light, turn right onto N. Pleasant Avenue

• Stay on N. Pleasant until road ends, about two blocks

• Turn left onto E. Glen Avenue

• Stay on Glen Avenue for about a mile (you will pass one traffic light)

• At blinker, turn left onto Oak Street

• Stay on Oak Street for about ½ mile (you will pass one blinker)

• At traffic light, turn right onto Franklin Avenue

• After traffic light follow Franklin Avenue under the railroad tracks

• At traffic light, road becomes Godwin Avenue, continue for about three blocks

• Turn left onto Ackerman Avenue

• Make second right onto Bellair Road

• At blinker, turn right onto Lincoln Avenue (Continue below with “At Line-up Area”)

From Rt. 208 and points West and South:

• Take Goffle Road “Midland Park Ridgewood” Exit

• Stay on Goffle Road for about 2 miles

• At second light, turn right onto Godwin Avenue

• Follow Godwin for about a mile or so (you will pass one traffic light)

• Make first right after traffic light onto Ackerman Avenue

• Make second right onto Bellair Road

• At blinker, turn right onto Lincoln Avenue (Continue below with “At Line-up Area”)

At Line-up Area:

• If your vehicle is in the Parade, follow directions from Parade Marshals

• If your vehicle is not in the Parade:

– drop off personnel

– proceed on Lincoln Avenue for one block to traffic light at Godwin Avenue

To End of Parade from Line-up Area (for Parking and Pick-up):

• Turn left onto Godwin Avenue

• Turn right onto Erie Avenue (right after Sears Hardware, before traffic light)

• Stay on Erie Avenue for about 1 mile (you will pass one blinker)

• Turn right onto W. Glen Avenue (Parkwood Deli is on far corner)

• You will pass:

One traffic light at N. Monroe Street

• Turn left onto E. Glen Avenue

• You will pass:

One traffic light at Maple Avenue

One blinker at Oak Street

• At second blinker, turn left onto Heights Road

• Stay on Heights about 4 blocks

• Turn right onto Monte Vista Avenue and proceed to bottom of hill (Continue below with “At Line-up Area”)

From Rt. 208 and points West and South:

• Take Goffle Road “Midland Park Ridgewood” Exit

• Stay on Goffle Road for about 2 miles

• At second light, turn right onto Godwin Avenue

• Make an immediate left onto Erie Avenue

• Stay on Erie Avenue for about 1 mile (you will pass one blinker)

• Turn right onto W. Glen Avenue (Parkwood Deli on far corner)

• You will pass:

One traffic light at N. Monroe Street

• At blinker, turn right onto Heights Road

• Stay on Heights Road for about 4 blocks

• Turn right onto Monte Vista Avenue and proceed to bottom of hill (Continue below with “At Line-up Area”)

At Line-up Area:

• If your vehicle is in the Parade, turn left onto N. Monroe Street

• If your vehicle is not in the Parade:

– drop off personnel at the bottom of the hill

– proceed right onto N. Monroe Street

To End of Parade from Line-up Area (for Parking and Pick-up):

• Continue on N. Monroe Street for about 6 blocks

• At traffic light, turn right onto W. Glen Avenue

• You will pass:

One blinker at Heights Road AND One blinker at Oak Street

One traffic light at N. Maple Avenue

• Turn right onto Northern Parkway (first right after traffic light at N. Maple Avenue)
